I Am Challenge

I am born when I write and learn
I wonder when love will not turn
I hear songs in the chilling wind
I see why it is so easy to just pretend
I want love's flame to forever burn
I am born when I write and learn

I pretend that pain is easy to take
I feel the caresses of Luna's wake
I touch the boundaries of my soul
I worry if I will always find a goal
I cry when the world cannot discern
I am born when I write and learn

I understand that I control my life
I say God can comfort anyone's strife
I dream of holding her in my embrace
I try to see the rainbow in all that I face
I hope to always wake with a yearn
I am born when I write and learn

It seems to me that when you understand the challenge and can state your case so well, you are well on the way to success with your challenges.  You do state who you are very well.  Pleasure to meet you.  Thanks for the good work

This is truly sage work Mark...I love the I am born when I write and learn line, I feel the same way exactly and this was such a simple but intelligent way to explain a poet's drive. I think we all cry don't we when the world cannot discern that we are born when we write and learn...There's so much wrapped up in the everyday human guarded heart that the poet brings out and writes and learns about as the expressions flow...and yes the poet becomes born again from that.  I have gone on a little here but I really enjoyed reading this.....take care    ethome

Mark my friend, this is such a triumph, I am indeed delighted that you were born because you write beauty.
A truly utterly beautiful piece.
Take care

Tracie-My friend I thank you for your kindness always.  It is not always easy looking at life that way but it is something that sure makes it worth it when you do.

Coco-Thank you my friend and I too am smiling now thanks to you.

ethome-My friend, you may go on as long as you like anytime.  I am glad that you can see where I was coming from in this one as it truely is the way that I am.  That was the challenge afterall wasn't it?

Marsha-Thank you my friend and I too am glad that I was born.  It has been pretty wonderful so far and I know that tomorrow will be even better.

JM-Well being as you know me way too well to deny any of this let me just say....STOP BEGGING.....(I would have done it anyway) and you know I thank you my sweet friend.  Now go to the darn DOCTOR!!!

Mark,
this is a little different from your usual write, more pensive perhaps? but beautiful just the same. Excellent!

Hi Mark,

"I am born when I write and learn"

This statement means so much to me because when I started here at passions I was illiterate, I was one of those that fell through the cracks and have had to teach myself, but I have so very much to say, share, learn, read and understand, and here at passions I have had that chance, and your words mean so very much and I want to say thank you for I started really living when I was able to share my thoughts with others and know how to share them, So I guess you could say every time I post a poem or reply I am being born again, well now that i've rambled on and you have my life story I just wanted to say thanks I am so glad to know you.

Love, Cerenity

Bob- if you see me similar as you then I am indeed honored and humbled. Thank you so very much.

Vandana- thank you very much.

Gemini- I indeed live to write, learn, and of course love. I thank you so very much for your kind reply.

Sunshine- not yet...thank you.

Kethry- going by the challenge I had to pen the real me, so I didnt have a choice.
Now I am off to write one of my fantasy come reality poems that I enjoy so much.
Thank you much my friend

Cerenity-You snuck in there on me.  Your life story is something that you may share anytime my friend.  I personally am amazed and intrigue at your story so far.  I know that there is much more to it but I know enough to say that you are amazing my friend.  For you to teach yourself shows the drive and determination it takes to succeed and survive in this world and you have that.  Thank you so much and please stop by and share any time.

You are all this and you are more.
You are romance in rhyme.
You are friend pulling others into the circle.
You are love.

Yeah ... all that and more.
And ... more ... 'cause I said so ! !
