Suede Of Sorrow
~*Marge Tindal*~

Suede of sorrow,
pained misery of the night,
you come
beckoning me to slumber.

I cannot surrender ...
for you come knocking on my dreams.

Grasping insomnia, I keep you at bay,
penning poetry from a fragile heart.
Allow me time to heal,
before you come again to call.

Velvet touch of morning dew
Greets the morn of my night lost
Suede of sorrow passing a clue
Taking the stage no matter the cost

Rest now my weary eyes of love
Bring the silence of dreamless sleep
Take a tour of the heavens above
Conquer fears that I choose to keep

==================

Wonderful write my friend.  I know this feeling well and if you are haunted by these then you know I wish for you a dreamless night.

Before I opened this poem, I wondered why Marge was up writing at this hour. Now I know and understand. Even if you are tired you still manage to write the most beautiful verses. May you find the solace in your life.

I agree with Martie, such a great description of the feel of this sorrow haunting you. I am assuming it's something from the past that doesn't want to go away at certain times... Wonderful words from that fragile heart explain this so well Marge. Believe me eveyone has a fragile heart from time to time...we are all vulnerable, human and there are things that keep us awake. We have an advantage! we can come here and lay it out on the board and share it....love to you Marge and a great big hug to put you to sleep....ethome

Oh, Mark~
Such a lovely response.
No wonder you are so loved.

Martie~
Shucks, I think I'd rather stay awake and try to pen poetry.
Thanks, my friend.

Oh, my !
I'm almost always nocturnal.
We do seem to run into the most unique thoughts in the midnight hour.

Hmmmm!  Among others ...
Love you !

ETHome~
Actually I was inspired in something I read.
So I enveloped myself in 'funk' to see if it would let me write this piece.
It did and I thank you for your thoughtful reply.

Suthern~
As usual, I find a smile when I see you've replied.
I thank you always for your thoughts.

Karilea~
Thank you, my friend.

MARGE, I hope you knew that I'd jump rite into this post on account of the 'suede' in the title...
Now that I have read this poem and aloud I might add I'm threading this to my library sweet PoetFriend...
Your talent of writing is always a treat for me to come across on these blue pages and the fact that you emerged yourself to write this poem from something you came across says to me you're one sparkling bright night owl poet who I shall always treasure dearly...

Denise~
Thanks.  I love the solitude of the night for writing.
When I grow up - I'm never going to sleep again !

Corinne~
Awwww !
Thank you, hon.
It's really a kinda neat haunt ...
for it keeps me searching and writing.

Dani~
Is that such a neat fabric of the night or what ?
You are a delight, my friend.
Thank you so very much for your thoughts.
