I am a poet hidden behind the jester
I wonder if I’ve lived before
I hear the sound of a heart hurting
I see colors of a person’s soul instead of colors of a person’s skin
I want to be able to write whenever I want
I am a poet hidden behind the jester

I pretend that hurtful words don’t hurt me
I feel as though I am an alien in this world
I touch God’s sigh in the wind
I worry that humanity will self-destruct
I cry because people are so cruel sometimes
I am a poet hidden behind the jester

I understand that it is my fate to be this way
I say everything in life happens for a reason, there is a plan
I dream of a world where we are all brothers and sisters
I try to be kind to everyone, even to the meanest spirit
I hope I am worthy enough to go to heaven
I am a poet hidden behind the jester

Blessed be the poet and the jester both for they both reach out and touch a part of the emotions in all of us that needs constant light.  I would say that you have a head start in getting to heaven then wouldn't you?  I like this challenge as it seems to be bringing out some wonderful pieces and this is one of them.

Ms. devine,

Once again the art conceals the art.  There's more than just a poet behind the jester and there's more than a jester up front  I see goodness and mercy   You are officially approved for heaven   )

I don't keep up with the challenges... so I can only judge this as a beautiful poem from an incredibly lovely human being. *S* And you know my idea of heaven has poetic jesters in a place of honor well-deserved by those who make life less of a hell for so many. *S*

Blessed be the poet and the jester both, for the love and laughter they give to others, theirs will certainly be the kingdom of God. You are all of this and so much more my friend and God bless you for all you are

Hi Poet deVine,

A jester with wings awesome, but I know whats in your heart and that is a loving spirit and soul, wonderful poetry here as always.

Love, Cerenity

A million thoughts run through my mind
clamouring to express
how this poem from a Poet so DeVine
paints such gentleness
of spirit, of mind, of tender heart
in the words that you convey
you will always shine, dear Poet DeVine
In your own special way...

Poet De Vine,
you are indeed a poet and the world needs laughter, both serve a purpose.

As a Poet and a Jester you have blended nicely the two.
