I Thought Of You Today

Entered  the bedroom,
the smell of you lingering within,
caressing the air I breathe,
softly touching ever part of me,
the overhead fan brushing it
from wall to wall,
swirling it round and round,
engulfing me in your aroma.

Pajamas,
silky, satin things of darkest blue
lay crumpled on the pillow
where you lay your head,
cast in haste, waiting your return;
I lift them up, touch them to my cheek,
deeply breathe the perfume they hold,
slightly reel,
filled with the scent of you,
the fragrance of the woman I love.

Around the room I look,
I see you, feel you, smell you,
love you ---
love you beyond all reason,
beyond the essence of life;
I lay the card upon your pillow,
"Hello", it says, and then inside,
"I thought of you today…"

Very tender and full of romance...fragrance is such a reminder of what was...and who is.

love notes are romantic also when she can read them within the seclusion of your eyes..

I have loved every one of your soft,romantic poems, and this is no different. So elegant, simply romantic in an earthly way that is just so beautiful.
