state of confusion

Amy

Amy had pop star dreams
in those days of harmonious nights
when she was still sweet,
had a voice that could swing
and just enough talent to hope.

She found herself ridin’
high with the band
then life got blurry,
imitation musical magic
turned into tricks -
venues & parties a-plenty.

Amy couldn’t see her future,
she lost her drive
along the singer’s road.
She heard it said
aging background singers
have no place,
no place at all.

Oh how easy that can happen.....for all the millions upon millions of musicians and singers there are out there only a few make it to the top of their field....often times leaving some of the better ones far behind. Amy got caught up in the failure of a rough business......time for her to go home and back to college....and sing by herself maybe while alone just for the pure enjoyment... ethome

show business is not a easy business to break into, a telling tale that we can all learn from. enjoye the read.

corrine..this sounds like a song..
an unfortunate tale of amy...its sad that stardom often makes victims of the hopeful..
