It is strange, but I used to write poems... a lot of them. Then I somehow fell asleep, and for more than twenty years I did not write one poem. Then it came back and I write them in English even if I have never lived in an English speaking country... sorry if it's a little childish language.

ANGEL

you came like an angel
from a secret world
and you touched me far away

and like a hot wind
you whispered soft words
into my sleeping soul
and forgotten wings
began to grow again

now I can fly
like an eagle over my blue mountains
thank you

I miss you
and yet I have not met you
my angel from a secret world

This is the language of the soul...poetry.

ANGEL

"you came like an angel
from a secret world
and you touched me far away"

you've blended beautifully two complete opposite thoughts into an amazing comparison. This is brilliant in my opinion.

"and like a hot wind
you whispered soft words
into my sleeping soul
and forgotten wings
began to grow again"

II've never heard wings be described as "forgotten" and yet you did.  This is original language, refreshing to read, a joy.

"now I can fly
like an eagle over my blue mountains
thank you

I miss you
and yet I have not met you
my angel from a secret world"

Instead of describing the eagle flying through a blue sky, you say the mountains are blue, how utterly stunning.

and you end it leaving us to a secret world, what in the world could be more beautiful.  You were sleeping during those years, you were nurturing your soul for this..here and now.

Welcome to Passions.

Welcome! This is great and I don't find it childish at all. Your poem has a deeper meaning than just words. Believe and you can fly anywhere you wish.

You know there was this wonderful man that I met over the internet that called me angelo mio. Angel mine.  That was the most beautiful thing that I had heard in a long time.  A guy from far away.
This piece reminded me of that.
WOW!!  This is one of those pieces that I have to add to my library.  This moved right into my heart and soul.
It brought back good memories of days with long talks to a person that I had never meet, but I had touched.  Thank you so much.

This is the first time in a long time that you have written anything.  Impressive.... That is the only thing that I can think to say.

Welcome to Passions.
Take your shoes off stay awhile.  I sure know that I would love to read more by you.

Love,
Lady

i'm going to send that to someone i care about very much.....because you touched my heart with it. you accurately described a situation, and nothing, nothing at all, makes poetry more heartfelt, more amazing, more real, than when it hits upon you so closely.

welcome! (even though i'm not a rabid poster....i've been here since november and i lurk all the time)
