 ~Butterfly Reflections~ Tonight I'll light 30 candles ... and then I'll light one more, one for each year you were here on this earth ... one for the anniversary of your birth ... when your butterfly wings allowed you to soar. Tonight I'll stand at the waters edge ... and there I'll kneel beneath the stars, for tonight in your honor they will shine with an emerald glow ... and the Heavens will put on a glorious show ... for I know that's where you are. Tonight I'll play those special songs ... the ones we made our own, and I'll remember how we came to be ... held in the quiet comfort of your memory ... always knowing I'm never really alone. Tonight I'll read love letters from you ... and I'll write you in verse and rhyme, and I'll pray my words will do you justice ... for this is the gift poetry entrusts us ... engraving this love in the sands of time. Tonight I'll hold a butterfly stone ... and once again I'll feel you move inside of me, remembering this love that gave us both a second chance ... when fate promised destiny this dance ... accepting Butterflies are meant to be free. Tonight I'll whisper upon the wind ... and I'll hear the songs that angels sing, and as prayers and promises rise up above ... I celebrate the gifts of your amazing love ... and I'll be the wind beneath your wings. WOW! This is so Janet Marie! This is the equation for the question of knowing when to let your intuition let your heart open and let the butterfly words flow free. And this poem is the answer to the question. So beautiful, so powerfully soft, so openly discreet, so intensely mild, so wise yet searching, so honest and yeilding, so princely common, so timely yet lost, so heartrendingly comfortable...so much into the atmosphere of reality...the surge of expectations for the assured well being of the future....such mystical virtuality.. marvelous creation of deep deep love enough to make the reader cry.....simply VANtastic!  I lit a candle and said his name I lit another and stared into the flame I let a tear fall for the passage of time I let another fall for the loss of sublime I read the words that you wove Within the current of love I dove Swimming in the water's pure tide Where serenity and celebration abide I let my tears dry and my heart shine With Golden Eyes and memories I dine Seeing you with wings of velvet jade Upon the clouds of heaven they've been made Now I'll dance and watch the celebration Knowing you are complete in transformation A soul once to weak to walk is now free to soar The chains of earth and her rules will bind no more That brown eyed girl wears the imprints of his light Drops a tear and gives life to a candle in the night She sends a song and weave upon his anniversary Softly she whispers...~Butterflies are Meant to be Free~  My love to you JM...you told me this wasn't as good as you wanted it...but baby it was perfect in my eyes...and I know it was in his eyes too....I love you sweetie...and I love him for the love he gave to you. Janet, O brilliant one (((HUGS))) to you as I observe my heart stop for a few brief moments while my thoughts take a million wings and fly in their own reflections and trying to understand how it means what it does to be in love and yet be free, attached yet unbound, devoted yet unshackled, held in loving arms yet delightfully unobscured... I think I now am in a position to understand love and the way of being in love in a better way...
