a picturesque day in city of Amarillo
frozen trees are white as snow
branches have turned to icicles
candelabras in moonlight aglow

the trees are beautiful in Amarillo
not a robins nest nor black crow
they welcome in two thousand and one
with purity like the driven snow

the last day of December
the memories will melt away
candelabras are lit in Amarillo
skies are powder white not blue
if only our love had not melted
with my arms still around you

tomorrow is a new beginning
budding leaves will bloom again
icicles come and go
just like you did then
candelabras are aglow in Amarillo
like our love was back when

Ah, I have the same white trees here in NH, and the same melting memories.
Wonderful poem.
Be happy.
