      She Weeps No More

Amidst a world of deep despair,
She walks among you, unaware;
No promise held in hopes of late,
As quietly she suffocates.

She lives a life of futile dreams,
As sorrow flows in silent screams;
A life of pain and languished years,
Have washed away the fallen tears.

She cannot look beyond today,
Her future masked in shades of gray;
She lives her days on borrowed time,
A life in limbo, fate unkind.

She grips the past and holds her ground,
Attempts to thrive beyond the bounds
That tie her to this emptiness ...
This vast expanse of nothingness.

A woeful creature, inwardly,
She bares her pain for none to see;
Amongst a world of gloom and strife,
She carries on her lot in life.

Bereft of feeling, lost in soul,
She lingers on with self-control;
Emotions gone , no longer kept,
Her tears are dry ... no longer wept.

This is sooooooo sad.
Well written - great cadence - but sooooooo sad.

she waits for one to cry her tears
to calm her heart, erase her fears
so still she waits for that one day
when love will come and take her away

beautiful. . . simply beautiful. . .

~Mike:  I'm glad you enjoyed Mike, thank you!

~Marge:  I tried to write something that would be more positive Marge, but when the doc calls and wants to "talk" about more test results, I'm afraid I'm in for it again. Sigh ... I've about had enough ... it never ends, but I'm a little too tired to worry or care anymore. Guess this is what comes from my wandering mind ... love ya Marge.

~Irish Rose:  Thank you for this heartfelt response Kathleen ... hugs to you for feeling it.

~Charisma:  Sigh ... you too Charisma? Hugs right back to you my friend ...

~Sven:  You're so sweet Sven ... thank you for these lovely words, hugs to you.

~Balladeer:  Leave it to you to make me laugh Michael, thank you ... I needed that!

Much appreciation to all,
/Kit

Hi Kit,

A well written verse of deep despair, with your words coming from within. At least that is the way I see the writing. A smile to you Kit, from BC.,

Once in awhile it feels good to read a sad poem because it is written so superbly and this is one of those times.  I am not celebrating sadness at all but instead the beauty and depth of emotions in this one.  Excellent write and now I say one for the library.

My eyes are filled with pockets of tears dear lady...
This truly is an exquisitely written emotionally touching poem that just tugs at the heart and breathes sighs into the soul...

Happy New Year PoetFriend

She'll weep no more when comes the day,
Clouds of change have blown away.

Loved this one although sad, I always like to think there is hope.

Looking for that man vs. animal poem don't mind me...off I go searching.
