If I were but the moon above,
...I'd wrap you in my glow,
Kiss you lightly on the brow,
...and on your heart bestow,
The splendor of far mountains high,
...soft hush of evening's breeze,
The beauty of a springtime dawn,
...the warmth of tropic seas,
But such a wish would be for naught,
...as all my gifts would fail,
For beauty of the moon itself,
...next to thee Rose, would pale.

Mike~

If with poetic promise
I could give to you a glow
Upon your heart it would rest
as lovely as your rose

Wrapped up in the splendor
with moonbeams of delight
Dancing across the Milky Way
on this very night

*See how you inspire ! ! !
Thank you for this lovely piece.
