CHURNING
Virginia Salter

churning, churning, in my stomach
blecky, blecky in my throat
weaving, weaving in my headnod
feel like I’m left in the boat

what should I do to stop this spinning
what would be the road to take
won’t you help me in my plight, sir
stop these waves, drain the lake

leaves are dancing ballerinas
green is coating tongue and cheeks
dinner’s odors waft unwanted
past my nose, they really reek!

Thanks, Denise.  Please note, I wrote this in October and I think it was something I ate.  I didn't get the flu until the week before Christmas. ;o}{

Three weeks!?  I hope it's over for you and that you are feeling much better!
