Beseech me not,
gloom's desolation,
grinning in thy ghostly
horrors,
mock not
my thirsty,
toil spent soul
as
I traverse torn and trampled
battlefields
of
life's tempations,
night's conflagrations.
O' misery
and
mourning,
restless heart and fevered
brain,
tossing in the great deep
of sin,
'mid howling chorus
and moaning seas,
victims
of dark siren's song,
sinking,
ever sinking
through wall of tears,
unto
bottomless depths
of evil kind,
of human mind,
within my soul,
dark demons kept,
as
angels wept.
soul's despair
of
haunting sorrow,
touched upon by lifeless
breath,
by somber
death,
amidst the pain,
my mournful cries,
behind my mask
of vacant eyes,
sinking,
ever sinking,
unto
perdition.

There aren't many whose dark poetry can lure  me in.. You're at the top of my list, though, my friend.. This is excellently done..

Mike--very dark yes...but so well done...the form was great and fit the mood you so skillfully weaved.
