                     Barely Three

A little boy barely three,
Thought his life would be carefree,
The abuse was more than he could endure,
From two people who's hate was so sure.

At night he was scared and wet his bed,
He knew in the morning what lay ahead,
His body battered over his little frame,
All he could do was suffer his pain.

Movie's of him with smiles on his face,
Saying "I love you mommy," would soon be erased,
Returning her child to be tortured so,
While he begged and cried, "Please don't make me go,".

In her heart she knew something was wrong with her child,
As he looked at the lens with grins and smiles,
The court order was to take him to this home,
Never did she think it was their last time alone.

For during the night he was gagged and bound,
Held by two people to be swung around,
Hitting the walls, furniture, and ground,
Dying on the blood he was choking down.

Never again will this child run and play,
In a cemetery is where he will stay,
Because two murderer's killed him that day,
Now they are free to do as they may.

A female judge in Ohio found no wrong,
So she pardoned the two and sent them home,
In her words, "These two are young and did not know
any better, they also had poor parenting skills",
What kind of skills does one need to kill?

If he were an adult, 1st degree muder they would receive,
But since he was a child and only three,
The judge slapped their hands and set them free,
They now can live their life, but his will never be.

Where is the justice this child deserves,
Why is this judge still practicing and being heard,
We need everyone to protest,
So this child will be at peace at last.

This a true story.

this is heartbreaking ... and Im sorry
and yes its wrong...the kind of wrong that makes us want to scream ...
but may some peace be found in this...
they WILL have to answer to another Judge..
and His court is all mighty and powerful..
Justice will be served.
powerful poetry
take care

Some people find subtlety in strangers
if you find anything~let me in
Your eyes~you see everything
my eyes~I see it all together now~and I know
