            “INTRIGUING HAZEL EYES”
                      by
                  Bill Charles

                     ~~~~
What words do I write, about a beautiful woman,
one of distinction, and hazel eyes, as her color.
For try as I might, and my pen writes with feeling,
        I find them a mystery to me,
                so unlike any other…
So these words I write, gently and with affection,
as they are about your eyes, and things that they do…
I have been slowly drawn, into their magic spell,
        but I really don’t mind,
                for they belong only to you…
But hazel is a perplexing color, more than one by this name,
perhaps there are three or four, all lovely I must say…
Reddish-brown is one, which is so beautifully striking,
        like autumn leaves changing,
                on a crisp fall day…
Greenish-gray is another, sexy is the most pertinent word,
so soft as they glow, like moonbeams during the night…
But when I touch you, and our eyes both meet,
        I see them slowly change their shade,
                in the pale moonlight…
Yellowish and greenish-brown are others, delightful they are,
soft in their colors, and they show this in many ways…
A woman owning hazel eyes, I find so very special,
        always with beauty,
                displaying every one of her arrays…
If you would show me all the colors, of an elegant rainbow,
I would choose only one, that would be clearly acceptable…
You are one in a million, my passions would never change,
        for I love those intriguing eyes that you own,
                the ones that are,
                        that special color,
                                of ‘Hazel’…
Sigh ... wonderfully descriptive Bill. You've painted beautiful words here. I fall into your greenish grey (with blue) ... they tend to change with the moods, and you've captured the camelion aspects perfectly.
Best wishes,
/Kit
Bill,
and don't it make my brown eyes blue
to know hazel is the hue for you
how you write with style and charm
would that my eyes were hazel with me upon your arm
Lovely write
Bill you romantic you! You're still writing so beautifully!
I can see how you would get lost in those kind of eyes, why, according to nature they could have the qualities of acacia, alder, ash, apple, aspen, balsa, bamboo, banyan, basswood, beech , birch, cherry, chestnut, cork, cypress, dogwood, ebony, elm, eucalyptus, gum, hazel, hickory, ironwood, linden, locust, magnolia, mahogany, maple, oak, olive or angewood, peach, pecan, plane, poplar, rosewood, sandalwood, sumac, sycamore, teak, walnut, willow, sweet gum...
now go figure! how does a man not get lost in the beautiful mystery of eyes like that... well chosen shade Bill and a well done poem!!
Morning Victoria,
Nice to see you this morning. And, I can understand the partially to "Blue Eyes". Thanks for the kindness.
Morning Nancy,
Ah ha, chameleonie. H'mmm, now how many different colors of Hazel would that be? Thanks for coming by, and glad that you liked it.
Morning nakdthoughts,
Thank you for reading this one, and glad that this verse caught your eye. I have been working a while on this one, as it was some what difficult for me to write. Must have been all the colors you know.
Hi Kit,
I am glad that you enjoyed this writing. As you know there are many different colors that are called Hazel. As above, difficult to write, but glad that I was able to. Thanks for the kind words Kit, have a good day.
Hi Kethry,
O'hhh Kethry, my heart swoons with reading your reply. Yes, someone with hazel eyes on my arm, what a nice thought. Thanks Kethry, made my day.
Hi ethome,
Thank you for the picker-upper. I finally have completed a few new writings and will be posting them.
Gulp! Did I leave out all those different colors of Hazel? Goodness, goodness, I must be more careful!
How does a man not get lost in the beautiful mystery of eyes like that??? I've seen'um, and well, they are special. Thank you for the visit, and the replies.
Bill,
    Such beauty and love you write with your pen. I hope the "Hazel Eyes" you are searching for, will see the beauty that you see.
Evening Charisma,
Perhaps your brown eyes haven't seen the one I did called "Beautiful Brown Eyes", and it was written especially for you.
Thanks for your kind response and for the visit.
Morning Charisma,
I am so sorry that I haven't replied sooner but I have been in bed for two days with the flu. This is my first day out of bed, and still weak. What a trip that was, don't wish it on anyone!
Anyway, I certainly thank you for the reply again, and am very pleased that you enjoyed the sequence of writings about eye colors. I did one on Brown, one on Blue, one on Hazel, and just completed one about Green eyes. I'll post this one soon.
Morning tracie66,
As above, I do apologize for not replying sooner, but have been down with the flu. Yes Tracy, I believe they all do tell a story, and I appreciate the kind reply. Thanks for stopping by.
