Masked Smile

smile
masked
my tearful
eyes

smile
masked
innermost
pain

smile
without
warmth
inside

smile
act
of a
clown

smile
perfect
mask for
me

broken
behind
my
smile

Now what can this cowboy do for his friend to make her smile without the mask.  I really liked the format of this one, but I don't like my friend hurting inside.  Take care of you my friend.

Very good Charisma! I know what you mean but it's wonderful how you admit it here and you're telling the truth and realizing these things happening shows the depth of the work!

Charisma~
Honey, the warmth from your heart pours forth
and settles in a smile on the face of a friend.

And it's just going to bubble right back to you ...
I can feel a smile from you RIGHT NOW !
*Grinning* with love for you, my friend.

Well, if you can't find one - I've got a spare !
Love ya'

Charisma,
I agree with Balladeer and all the rest above
What is that old saying "Smile and the world smiles with you." Enjoyed the poem

Charisma. There are seasons of rough times and they hurt. And it is hard to smile and go on with that despairing dead feeling deep inside. But....It is not forever and the outcome is a deeper love joy and compassion than you already exhibit, loving lady.
I too feel this way that your poem expresses. as I try to hug you and comfort you with words over miles. if you need to talk a little , please do email me, My door is open and I listen well. I will be praying for you to be comforted. Aloha, my friend!
