Behind the Silken Ties

Tonight I cried for you, buried thoughts rising
my lips whispering your name, as teardrops
stained the satin, that lay against my cheek.

If only you could see through my eyes,
you would see with clarity, the love I hold
that keeps growing, each day in time.

You could blindfold me in silken ties
and when the nearness of you closes in
and your lips seek mine, I would know it is you.

I will be the one in the shadows, holding
onto your thoughts, as they carry me
through the night, cradling me in peace.

In my heart, they are stored for safe keeping
blindfolded by this love, I close my eyes.
Until I can see you again, I am here....

Holding the image of your face
within dreams of my mind, anticipating
that one special moment,

One moment of kiss, that has captured me
from the very first, melted my past
brushing aside all worries, and froze me in time.

Understand, each morning before light breaks
I am here, anticipating "till next"
a touch from you, the look in your eyes...

The kisses from your mouth, the taste of sweet,
the reach from your arms, comforting,
as my life is still unfolding and less lonely, I become.

And as you look into my eyes, you will see the depth
of feelings, words that can never be written, but instead
remain for you only, behind the silken ties.

~Wynter

Amazing that how some might wear their heart on their sleeve, the love of their life never  shall glimpse the light...
