Voices Of The Sea
~Marge Tindal~

Down along the shoreline,
where the land meets the sea,
I went one night a'walking.

The voices of the ocean sweeping over me,
the waves did all the talking.

I could only listen,
and listen is what I did.
The legends of the sea,
beneath her waves, no longer hid.

She told of hearts a'sailing
out into the moonlit night.
The raging waves of the ocean
keeping them all in her sight.

Crashing on the shoreline,
bringing the tales to me.
The mighty roar of the ocean,
with all the secrets of the sea.

Men on mighty ships
who nevermore came home.
Lover's on the shoreline waiting,
left to cry alone.

The sea in all her fury,
isn't so bad after all.
She returns on every tide change
sharing the stories with us all.

Terrific write my friend.  There are many tales that could be told I am sure but the trick is to learn to listen to the waves as they speak and to do that you almost have to become the pages for the tales.  Beautifully presented as always.

Hey, MArgie, you beach-walker
It's me, the friendly sea.
I'm tired of all these swimming fools
Who always pee in me!!

I'm tired of all the garbage dumped
And all the toxic waste
What's that? You say it ain't so bad?
Why don't YOU take a taste?

They say the beach is peaceful
Filled with true serenity
But when I moan at what they do
I'm called the angry sea!!!!!!!!!!!

The old sea does have a lot of tales to tell, doesn't it? Another beautiful piece from you, Marge. Keep it up!

Marge this is so lovely, I put my ear to the monitor and could actually hear the echo of the waves...and THEN...I got to the deer's reply...shaking my head again...and if it's true that sea if full of true serenity? Let's do that Moses thing quick, okay?

You guys crack me up....geeez...

Melton~
Glad to stroke the memories.
Thank you.

Nan~
Oh ... go for it gal !
Perhaps in the chill of winter the ocean
also gets lonely and throws out the calling voice.  Thanks.

LoveBug~
Indeed the stories are laid upon the sands
with each wave that comes to shore.
Thanks, little buggie !

ETHome~
Thanks, my friend.
I have only to listen to the roar -
and hear the tales rushing.

Karilea~
Go West, young woman !
