The Rainbows Gold

I have found the proverbial pot of gold
Where told, at the bottom of a rainbows fold.
But if you think it solid your mistaken
For it is but effervescent thoughts forsaken.

It rings as misty as the rainbow itself
From colored hues of wisdom within yourself.
It is a heart full of toll that swells from a bell
Of all of the essence of heaven and hell.

It is the light and shadow of fantasy
A mixture of agony and ecstasy.
It contains seven vail and plays in your brain
In music, rainbows and desires ordain.

It is heard and colored and stirred by yearns sail
And in one case I heard swallowed by a whale.
The treasure is there and for some it is plain
But for others I know it turns into pain.

So if by chance you find your rainbows gold.
Let it never be said you were not told.

All that glitters is usually not gold
The treasure comes silently when you least expect
This is stunning as is all your work
Your student poet

I LOVE THIS POEM ...
just when I think ya cant get any cooler of wiser .. ya do
oh man this is such a way cool poem Sy ...

"From colored hues of wisdom within yourself."

and this line proves me point of your wisdom set to rhyme.
Your "within" is a spectrum of color and light ...
and wisdom and cool
awesome writing Sy....the imagery, the metaphor, the message...
poetry is whats in the pot of gold at the rainbows end ...
what else would it be???
what else would we need it to be???

Elizabeth,
Does the treasure contain a hot chocolate and tuna sandwich? Love Sy

Sea,
Thank you and I'm always careful of what I wish for.

JM,
Your rainbow sent holds a big pot of gold
For it holds all the worlds poetry told.

Karilea,

From colored hues of wisdom within yourself.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
and you are our Rainbow poet
this place is sorely lacking the honesty, humility, wit & wisdom of your rhymes divine darlin Sy.
Gratefully my library and the archives are well stocked with your cadenced gold...
as well as our hearts.
