Between the Lines

Because time has its moments
and is passing me by today
I had a few loving thoughts
I wanted to express...

I love you enough
to have opened up my heart
and soul to you, despite
the secrets you kept within...

I love you enough
(although hard at times)
to stay away from you,
to hold back my loving words,
allowing you to stay safe
in the darkness,
of your shadow's hold...

I love you enough
to release you,
if wanted or needed,
freeing you from
the weight of my worries...

I love you enough
to have you always in my thoughts
tucked away sometimes
but other times, overflowing
and running off my finger tips,
to the blue heaven
upon which I place them,
so you can see how I feel,
feel what I see
moment to moment
day to day
weak to strong and back again...

I love you enough...
with just because thoughts...
as I kiss you " well" within my heart.

~Wynter

apparently you love quite well...this is wonderful...I believe when one allows their thoughts to roam, the prettiest poetry is written then...

yes, sometimes when you truly love you have to do something that takes a great deal of strength.  Enjoyed this one.

Kathleen the strength lies in "not controlling" but in "loving freely"....and enough to allow it to leave if that is the best for both...but I am not looking at an old love..just possibilities of a new one and how I would feel...huggzz
