The beating of my heart is but
the hammer of a carpenter
he lives within my chest he's just
the rhythm of my song of yours
he is there when you foreswear
love it is forever gone
he sings to me in harmony
writing lyric to the song
artistry of cradle's rock
a poet in a muse's long
the memory of love forgot
re-written, in a truce, belong...

My fingers raise to touch my cheek
I weep the silent disbelief
I do not wish to laugh again
I do not wish to call you friend
If love were but one kiss astray
I would have wished you far away
and wished you back again today
in my silent disarray...

Said it so eloquently ... - well done

I envy your poem (beautiful)
but I don't envy the mood you
must be in, to have written it

There are just sooooo many steps we take when we're adjusting our emotional inner being... You've captured that experience nicely, my friend...

Serenity, lately you have been writing some things that grab my heart even more than usual. This is just amazing.
Thanks for writing my thoughts so much better than I do..
