Carnaubian Memories

there were some,
decorative,
pretty,
pinks and
greens, reds
and whites,
beige and
light blues, but
curiously innocuous
in that some time
back then,

however, not in
the recent,
because
"safety comes first"
so there is no glow
of love vis a vis
the flame

sometimes I wonder
if I went to Brazil
for the real thing
perhaps it would
bring around
the ring of
truth but
instead
there
is
just a
ring of
promise and
commitment and
he holds me to it
and I wonder if he
really wants to be
here and if I
really want to
be here,

or thereā€¦

he keeps
me on a pedestal
like a fine candle itself
and even though I
am safe he does
not let me burn
so I only ask
if he will take
me off the
pedestal
once in
a while
to dust
me

today the marketplace
holds the fragrance
of the candle's wax
as if a treasure
fit for a king,
and as a queen,
I would pick it up
and breathe it in but
why go to the expense
when we won't even
go to the trouble of
lighting the flame
which might
bring about
the times
he would
like to
know
again

someday

one day

I
am
going
to do as
I see done
in the movies,

and draw a long bath ~
and scent it
with vanilla and
light candles and then
some more candles and
then one more candle ~

for the past, and
the present, and
my lonesome
but growsome
future, and
I will look
at the reflection
in the mirror,
and I shall
bathe myself
alone
in carnaubian memories.

Marge, my spirit...I knew this...'tis why I did not write it for just me...thank you...

'Deer, a raise? Raise the flag, raise the bet, raise a child...my rays are on you...and all who might read this...

Ethome, nice thoughts...and no, Sir, you could never ruin a thing, you are far too kind, and gentlemanly...and I thank you for the read...

Kari love, you will shine brighter than the brightest star, you will fly higher than the highest mountian, and you will love for ever and then for ever again. You will do all you can, be all you can, and see all you can.
This is my pledge to you love. I know because it's written in the stars themselves. You cannot tie a star down, and you can't hold the wind. And your light is alight and will never be extinguished, you know this love, just listen to your hearts voice.
Take care love

Just like Marge - much much too close to home - Hell I could light 178 candles -(twice as many as Mark) and get no response - Are all of us in this boat?)
