The Lamb That Turned To Lion

Once when prudence turned to foolish
A change touched issue to my brow
A wily blow was brought to bear
On the vent of some cats meow.

A simple comment named as lamb.
Rose up to be a Lions' roar.
And the subtle sword of cunning
Cut chaos on my Cupid's door.

Chivalry died and bellied up
Sensitivity went to smell.
Jealousy that shapeless monster
Opened a crack the doors of hell.

And the barb found the hearts tender
By the shaft of a selfish floor.
And the wound turned a poisons doubt
Just strong enough to kill amour.

A lamb that beast a lions roar
And made a feast of poor seymour.

"On the vent of some cat's meow" eh! well that kind of sets it all up doesn't it? No roast of lamb over the holidays Seymour? It'll be kind of hard to get the other one into the oven...talking about a barb finding a heart's tender whew..and I opened this up thinking it was going to be something religious like the lamb of God or something.. ya just can't trust a poet to do what you think they're gonna do....have a nice holiday and take care....ethome

This part brought back some painful memories...I won't delve nor dwell...but I do not think I would choose another way to say what it is I felt then, as the words you have put to it now...

you always stretch my imagination, and my smile...even when it is a sad smile...
