Once Whispered Snowflakes
Virginia Salter

once whispered snowflakes
now drip from the eaves
as warm reaches its tentacles
toward remaining fall leaves
lying about
strewn by the wind
and I await here
in the warm, dry shelter, willingly pinned

This was a lovely portrait of one of winter's wonders.  I loved the visions it left and the penning was superb to say the least.  I applaud you and the way you think.  Loved it much.

Oh, you almost make me wish I was back in the snow and winter-like weather!  ALMOST
We winter in Texas and I guess this brings back memories of the times in my younger life.  Happy holidays,

Lovely images, Virginia...I can see the drip from the icicles now...and the rainbows therein...

I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound.

the title pulled me in and im glad it did...this poem reminds me of haiku, for short and concise, it conjures images in this reader's mind...

well done
