Springtime's caress
The softest sigh
These are things
That lift me high
From Martie's words
I learned to fly
Return safe home, by and bye.

She has a way with gentle words
That pares to truth and cuts like swords
A heart that's helped is her reward
Martie  - keeper of the word

The softest plight
The calmest way
Can still the night
Bring on the day
In Martie's write
The sprites do play
And humor, joy is shed my way

She has a way with gentle words
That pares to truth and cuts like swords
A heart that's helped is her reward
Martie  - keeper of the word

The spirits lifts
as she walks by
all life in gifts
from her love's ply
a summer kiss, the soughing sigh
are in her work for all to spy

She has a way with gentle words
That pares to truth and cuts like swords
A heart that's helped is her reward
Martie  - keeper of the word

She pauses soft
And moves along
Like springtime breeze
That's here and gone
But her magic
Lingers on
Helps the weak to carry on
It's gifted through her song

She has a way with gentle words
That pares to truth …

Martie is indeed grace in motion, and you have caught a bit of her spirit and movement in this lovely tribute Kethry...this my dear, is indeed a Keeper, as is our Martie...

I can think of no one more deserving - I can think of no more accurate telling words to describe this lady who blesses our forum.
I'm so glad you've written this - and if I might - I must say you've outdone yourself writing this tribute

YOU said it my friend.  If ever a poet was given a tribute that fit them perfectly, then you just honored her with this one.  She is the very essence of "heart" and her writing is unsurpassed in both beauty and untamed quality both rising to the levels of perfection with each new post.  Wonderful highlight of my day was this piece as she is one of my all time favorites for sure.

Wil,
that you should say I have penned accurately is an honour indeed. Thank you.

Mark,
when you respond I always know the comments will be encouraging. Thank you

Martie,
I'm so glad this small reflection measures up to your high standard, that I could write it at all is a measure of your faithfulness and constancy I see in your writing.

Laugh loud, be proud.

Kethry~
This is a stunning poetraiture of Martie.
She takes the simplest view and paints it with magnitudes of color.

Wonderfully written, my friend.

A wonderful triute poem.  I am new to this board and not yet familiar with the poets who post hear, but your words speak of a respect which I admire amongst friends.
