The See-dling

late at night when
darkness creeps,
draping the walls in
ebony and crimson

it's the light that went
out within my soul
that consumes me

this is the breeding
ground for the
demon seed

and I wait ... as it lurks
and I pray ... as it reaches

the grip of fear,
the sweat that will lie in a
puddle on the sheets
these are the fertilizers
which feed the roots

late at night, when I'm
no longer among the
living, is when
my eyes,
will tell you a story

"...I am a river in winter,
quiet in the eyes of most
but deep,
swift and full of life
to one, lucky enough to fall through the ice.

The eyes always tell the story. They are the windows of the soul. Enjoyed reading this Snow.

If a dream touches us, it exists to us as anything else that touches us.
