Lesson Dearly learned
Karen Torbiak
2000

I learn and weep
for loss of fantasy
in a life denied
the softness
that love could supply

Lessons taught
acceptance understood
by a pain filled woman
being foolish
to believe

I know my role,
I been taught
that for this one
love is not
to be apart
of her reality

So into fantasy
where pain
cannot touch
or harm will
I forever hold
a heart that
is not wanted
by men of earth

I fly and give
joy and love
wherever wanted
fulfilling my call
with gentleness
to never open
a heart afraid
as rejection
is accepted
eternally

Love I leave with you my friend whether it be in your life or of yet the essense of your dreams. http://path2riches.com

Startime, I can feel and relate in some sense to the pain that fills this poem, and I just want to say don't give up hope, there is someone wonderful waiting for you, I know it can lonely and the loneliness is never easy, but be strong and believe in yourself. Your heart will find love, I am sure. well written poem, thank you for sharing.

"an afixiation a fix on anything the line of life the limb of a tree
the hands of he and the promise that s/he is blessed among women".

Karen, one day love, you will find true love waiting just for you, I know you will. Hope and dreams, the most treasured gifts that love gives, and it will be there.
This is a terrific poem, and you have a loving heart, and it shows love it really does show.
Take care

Love will come, of that I have no doubt.  Seeing and accepting it when it does, for what it is, is sometimes harder to see. Meanwhile, we accept, and enjoy the sharing of ourselves with others, until it appears in a way we understand.

Well written.
