My friends please forgive me. I have had some things in my life that have gotten me down and feel the need to revisit some old poems of sadness and hurt. It is my way of venting. Tomorrow or the day after will be a new day and once again I will return to myself. Thank you all for your support and comments.
Oh by the way sorry if I went over the amount of postings for one day.

Love ya all,
Richard

Never Again
By Richard Maxfield
12-17-2000

No more tears
I have for you
Never again
Feeling blue

Your last arrow
Missed its mark
Fired your shot
A shot in the dark

Revenge on you
Has never been mine
You’ll get what’s coming
In it’s sweet time

I pick up my heart
And kick my can
Stand proud
For I’m still a man

I know the truth
With out a doubt
It wont be long
You’ll be found out

You’re the loser
It’s not me
It really don’t matter
If you see

For I did right
You did the wrong
Sold your soul
For a fantasy song

Affair
By Richard Maxfield

Broken trust
Broken heart
Pain of hurt
That’s just the start

Confusion
No self-esteem
Lonely nights
Hellish dreams

Denial
Mega rejection
Loss of love
No affection

Anger
Rage filled
Lost in the fog
All pride killed

Bargaining
If you only would
I know we can
I know I could

Depression
As the clock ticks
Empty now
My bag of tricks

Acceptance
Of what you did
What of me
What of our kid

Are you aware
There’s nothing fair
About your affair
I do declair

Do You Think of Me
by Richard Maxfield
6-12-98

Do you think of me
In the still of the night
Remember when
I held you tight

Do you think of me
The love we did share
To you all my love
Was it so fair

Do you think of my kisses
All for you
All of the things
We used to do

All of the dances
In the pale moon light
I know our love
Was forever right

Do you ever long
To see my face
Walk down
To our favorite place

Hand and hand
As we use to do
No one on earth
But me and you

Long nights spent
In tender embrace
My lips kissing
Your sweet face

My warm breath
Soft on your ear
Whisper I love you
The sound so clear

Making love
Till morns first light
When nothing was wrong
Everything just right

Do you miss these things
The way I do
When there was a thing
Called me and you

When things go wrong
You need a hand
Do you remember
When I was your man

Do you think of me?

DOES HE TOUCH YOU
by Richard Maxfield
2-27-99

Does he touch you
The way I used to do
To sleep next to him and hold him tight
Does it feel good and does it feel right
Does he say the things you want hear
Does  he chase away your all fear
Does he reach out to touch your face
Does his touch make your heart race
Does he love you more than life its self
or does he keep some on a shelf
Does he long to grow old with you
Would he take care and see you through
Does he run his fingers through your hair
Years from now will he be there
Does he love every wrinkle on you face
Is it home or just his place
Does he gently kiss your ear
are his intuitions all ways clear
with each hair that turns gray
is it forever or just a day
would he lay down his life
like I would do for my wife
Will he be there when you call
or to pick you up when you fall
Is he worth all your trust
or will your life with him be a bust
Will he hold you as years pass by
and kiss away  the tears that you cry
Life is short and so is the night
make sure all you have done is right
Will he love you for ever and a day
or are they just words he might say
What didn’t I do what didn’t I say
I loved you with my all every day
My heart I gave for you to keep
I think of you even when I sleep

Lady thank you for your comments.
This is a hard time of the year with all that goes on. This also is the time of the year in 97 when I caught her in a car in a bar parking lot doing well let me say something she only should have been doing to me. Such is life and it goes on.
Some day I will meet a lady with a romantic heart that is as true to her mate as I am to mine.

Love and light,
Richard

Thank you all for the wonderful comments.
These for the most part old poems all but the first one. If any of you have an ex you know how they come back to haunt every once in a while. Well tis the season. I needed to vent a bit. I found i turn to my writing to do so. It is the best way and no one ever gets hurt. i feel much better after reading some of the old stuff and posting it. Weard well maybe but it works for me. i started writing when i fould out about her sexcapades. It helped me through some very tuff times. As you can tell i loved her very much and its taken me a long time to see the light of day.
She still comes back to haunt me and will for some time as I have to deal with her. I have our daughter and will always have that link. Ill stop rambling now.LOL
love and light to all my new found frinds.
Richard

don't feel sorry, when you need to revisit old poems and post them....this time of the year let us always face ourself, and when you need to vent your feelings, well I guess that  passions is the right place for doing it.

heartfelt poetry here,  penned straith from the heart, and believe me....once you will find your romantic lady...I am sure about that.
well done.

((warm hugs))
