started rummaging..had a few things i needed to find..to ease my soul today...    heres another one for daddy..
----------------------------------------------------

how do you make the wind
stop blowing
when its chill is to the bone
how do you make the rain
stop falling
when the clouds just have to let go

     sometimes i wish
     i could forget you
then the pain would ebb away...
     other times i long
     to hold you
i want to make you stay

how do you make the sun
stop shining
when you need the cloak of night
how do you make the stars
stop laughing
when you need to see the light
how do you make the moon
keep smiling
once its scattered morning dew--
daddy...
oh daddy, i wish i knew

Fallen Rain,
How indeed? You've expressed yourself well here, the mixed emotions of letting go, yet wanting to hang on to one so dear. Great writing!
