In the slumber of darkness when all is still
only the fragrance.. a sleeping daffodil

i hear  whispers echoing in the night
love letters written in sands of moonlight

envelope of the night sealed by oceans kiss
tucked away taken below in the ocean of abyss

although lovers have died so very long ago
hearts still ache for someone they use to know

upon the shores of a thousand years past
ribbons of tears wrapped around the winds mast

footprints embedded upon salt kissed shores
shadows searching for the love they adored

lost within mysteries of love and grains of sand
a shadow reaching ..reaching for someones hand

*sigh* how incredibly beautiful is this wonderful poem. It touches the heart and soul. Someone surely will reach out to take the offered hand. Much love to you from me.

Well this one was simple lovely through and trough.  It brought back the visions of the movie "Message In A Bottle" to me for some reason.  Very tenderly written and much enjoyed.

Yes!  Dreams of love either lost or longed for, are like footprints in the sand. The waves like ripples of the past lap the time-washed shores of unforgotten memories.
I morn such a love. I enjoyed this poem it echoes my feelings.

it exists to us as anything
else that touches us.

That is way cool!
