Utrillo-Like Scene in Delaware

Sky most overcast
Late winter afternoon
Dark approaching twilight
Pavement wet and black
Building colors muted
Headlights reflecting
Long shines of bright
Star-like glow ‘round streetlamps
Silhouettes with black umbrellas
Cluttering the walks

Homes awaiting owners
To turn on their festive lights
And dress their night
For the season

Billy you made me homesick..the Christmas's in Delaware were always the best..i was thinking today about the ice cream sandwiches i use to buy on the corner of eight and market when i was younger outside of kreseges..doubt if its there anymore..mmmm they were good ha..even in the winter time..

Wonderful scene you set there Wilfred, could see and feel it all.  Kinda wish I was there...nice cup of nog and a turkey leg sitting there watching it all.

Thanks ethome - for the past two days - my views are restricted to what I can see from my window and my imagination - your responses are most appreciated.

Karilea - Charisma -
The weather here has been so 'yucky' - I HAD to find something in it - but it was a stretch - Thank you
