Lovers Starlight By Richard Maxfield 9-27-2000 Romping through meadows On moonless night To find our place Under starlight bright Chirping crickets Hooting owl In the distance Lone wolf howls Hand and hand We count the stars Make a wish On twinkling mars Soft sweet smell Of forest lush Sounds of hearts Breaks silence’s hush On blanket spread We kiss and play Speak future pans We both have made Shooting star Across the sky My wish is true You and I Passions rise As lover touch Of you my dear Can’t be to much Take my hand I give my heart Us together Never to part |
