What tolls betoken Common fare?
Divergent roads design Detour -
Free Passage signs should read Beware!

Lest Common Place ensigns allure
To forge untrodden Avenue
As One-Way streets likely procure

Adversive Ways that lead askew
The sense of bearings Common Sound
Tread nary roads impending rue.

There's surety in Common found.
Converging paths the rightly pair...
Best pay the toll to Common Ground.

What yet may lead to obscurity
if common ground were not to be
what then led me to thee...

No.  No one writes quite like Nan...as it should be...

Nan,
I tiptoe through your common ground
Your common ground is quite profound.

"There's surety in Common found."

Indeed there is, absolutely!

Loved the poem, and the pic? Poetic justice.

"Best pay the toll to Common Ground."
I don't quite know what boulevard/alley/avenue you took to end up here - but I'm glad you did - and I totally agree - very cleverly done ~S~

I love your voice.  The archaic form is always a favorite of mine.  Enjoyed this very much Nan.

Loved it all Nan, but these lines, a piece of their own, stuck to my soul.

Evening Nancy,

I have never seen anyone write like you do, and am duly impressed. You are not only a master of the English language, you are also a master on how to write it. Well done Nan, well done.
