I'm remaking myself
in the image of love
my shattered appearance yearns
to leave this cold and lonely shelf
just rise up above
and find passion returns.

I'm remaking myself
taking the scars
and the problems that cause me much pain
find heart in  wisdom and wealth
reforming as stars
as I take on new me with no name

I'm remaking myself
To start as brand new
New person new identity
I'm forming becoming somebody else
A phoenix arising as sparks up a flue
I'm remaking myself into me

Kethry, in that case love can I rename you Phoenix, you would look great dressed in flames of desire, eyes of hope. heart of gold and spirit of truth.
Oh this is so wonderful it really and truly is. I get goosebumps when you write as well as this, I really do.
Brilliant piece
Have a great weekend   and be good, but not too good.....

Marsha,
iloveitwhenyouwritelikethis. And it's not that I'm vain (at least I don't think I am) it's just that it lifts my spirits high. And the idea about the pheonix came from you anyway.

Maxtec1,
that true all things change and sometimes we learn from the changes.

ethome,
huggle bunny, I get encouraged by all the other good writers here, including you, so it must be a circle that has no end.

Be well, you're swell

Kethry love, no love you are not vain, not at all. (Far to modest actually, I have faith in you and your ability. Did I not call you the smile giver?) Wonderful piece, and you would look fabulous as a Phoenix, you really would.
Really excellant writing from you.
Didn't I tell you that I love your poems
and I surely certainly do.
Take care

I can well relate to this, you know it can be hard just being yourself and being happy being yourself. I hope the make over goes well, I know the new image will suit you perfectly, just make sure that the poetry remains.

very cool poem Keth ...
I like the premise of this...
excellent metaphors and analogies
and I like the wisdom and wit of the last two lines...
