(Karilea – One of the best and more prolific poets here – snuck by with at best a subtly announced Birthday on Tuesday – [you’d have to really read her post of that day to ‘see’ it] – I think she deserves congratulations on achieving her decades – but more: Credit for giving us many beautiful poems)

I’ve used the titles of some of her many poems for this – I hope you all like.)

“In Flight Through Dreams”
“I Heard Your Tender Call”
“Quietly Heard”
and
“I Welcome Thee Softly”
so – when she says
“Some Day You Will Paint My Words”
“And When You Paint Me”
all I can say is
“Can you Stay”?
and I can’t wait until
“I see your Name”
for
“When Next I am Touched”
I know I’ll be
“Caught”
and make
“Promises to Myself”
always to read what she writes

What she really is, is completely humbled...and totally speechless...the shy in the little girl just took over the woman...

Thank you Mr. Yeats...and somehow, that just is not enough...

I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound.

Bill,
Just the titles speak for the person
WEll done!!!!
I cannot put into words all that Karilea has meant to me personally.
But I can speak for all in recognizing the quality of her work, the impact of her verses, and the reflection of the heart from which they come.
THis is a wonderful tribute

That was beautiful. You gave a double meaning to all of her poems.

inot2B-
I couldn't settle for a simple "Happy B'day" and K's poetry runs the gamut - a poem such as Sven writes - would have limitless verses - I didn't want her to wait until she passes the half-century mark-
Thank you
