Substance

To search the spring of substance soul
Infinity must be your goal.
To stand before its open door
You must endeavor evermore.

A moving residence of dwell
Where brooks the passions wishing well
Occasioned by your fantasy
That ships a ship called ecstasy.

Passage, the philosophers stone
Made of genesis human bone.
Hidden within each one of us
By dogma of the omnibus.

Sacrosanct the phantoms kingdom
Zealot of occlusions ransom
Minuscule the pinch of bright
Bringing light unto the night.

No need to say we seek this goal
This hidden source within our soul.

quote:
bringing light unto the night

someday, they will ban this sighing I do...
this is awesome Sy...
this flies...

and I travel on its wing....in search thereof...

If I whisper, will you listen?...
I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound.

*sigh* the beautiful way you use words can't help but cause one to sigh. Wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing it with me. Much love to you from me.

Philosophers Stone
Van Morrison

Out on the highways and the by-ways all alone
I'm still searching for, searching for my home
Up in the morning, up in the morning out on the road
And my head is aching and my hands are cold
And I'm looking for the silver lining, silver lining in the clouds
And I'm searching for and
I'm searching for the philosophers stone
And it's a hard road, Its a hard road daddy-o
When my job is turning lead into gold
He was born in the back street, born in the back street Jelly Roll
I'm on the road again and I'm searching for
The philosophers stone
Can you hear that engine
Woe can you hear that engine drone
Well I'm on the road again and I'm searching for
Searching for the philosophers stone

Up in the morning, up in the morning
When the streets are white with snow
It's a hard road, it's a hard road daddy-o
Up in the morning, up in the morning
Out on the job
Well you've got me searching for
Searching for, the philosophers stone
Even my best friends, even my best friends they don't know
That my job is turning lead into gold
When you hear that engine, when you hear that engine drone
I'm on the road again and I'm searching for the philosophers stone

Some people find subtlety in strangers
if you find anything~let me in
Your eyes~you see everything
my eyes~I see it all together now~and I know

Karilea,
You have let your sunshine on this poem and it has become a star. *L*

Startime,
Wonderful comment and wonderful home site.
Read some of them they are beautiful.

Brian,
Thank you for the WOW. I appreciate the read and the comment.

JM,
As I said before you are always a delight to read. Didn't you know when you touch too cool it hurts, not only that but you can get stuck to it and you have to heat the cool to be reaeased.
By the way, Vam Morrison was looking in the wrong place for the philosophers stone, It's inside him not outside.
And as for setting sail we are already on our way. Winkiewinkie, Stinky

Doc,
If astounding is your prescription, I'll take one a day. Thanks

Kit,
Most of my poetry read between the lines. Thank you for the read and lovely comment.

With poetic phrases flying high above us, you offer down to earth principles in this masterpiece of a poem.
Exquisitely written by the best
