Listening to every heart

Cantilevered Moments

settled within and between
cantilenas and cantillations
chanting to me in somber tone
most amazing of revelations

for a moment of suspension
strung from deep vibration
came this deep sensation
of true love’s unique creation

and cantilevered now in thought
like a bridge in whirlwind caught
of solid support beneath my feet
while I stretch outward yet to greet

the coming of my golden days
knowing that beneath the sway
you tether me on cantilevered feet
and hold the reach in tender way

through the arches hear chanting wind
of cantilenas and cantillations send
vibration through the string of steel
such the way as you make me feel

in cantilevered moments

Kari, this is utterly inspired, a fantastic and original concept. Oh how I love it when you are flying so high love, absolutely soaring, and doesn't it suit you.
Really fabulous, wonderful writing, Madamoiselle et tu belle, mai que, mon petit, c'est manifique n'est pas, mon cher Kari!
About the only thing I can say with a passible french accent! (I can say something else but it'll get me banished to adult)
Wonderful work love, you know I love it, right?
Take care

Wonderful, absolutely metaphorically wonderful!!  Is the bridge over Yaquina Bay on the Oregon Coast?  It looks like it!  If so, then I want to hurry and post a poem that's about to come up from my October 2000 poems.  It's about Yaquina Light.  Do you live on the Pacific Coast?  e-mail mePassionsoetlariat@oregontrail.net

another great one from the madam of metaphors..

bridges and love...so many similarities, up to and including the vibrations through ones body...as you so nicely point out.

brilliant ideas you are coming up with, miss sunshine

I have to agree with Balladeer my dear and wonderful ray of bright light. You are coming up with some great ideas and that's what makes poetry so wonderful..ideas as seen by the eye of the poet's mind...oh fabulous ideas streaming and flowing into virtual reality..yep that's you!!

You are writing so much, and so beautifully, I believe this is one of my favorites by you...the title alone is perfection, but the way you walked me through the rest?  I'm taking notes, Karilea...and this one goes into the library for future reference and enjoyment. Excellent writing!

Marsha, I do wish my French teacher had done more than spout off about her African visits and taught us more then tres bien...so I could answer you in kind...merci beaucoup for the wonderful words you grace me with...

Virginia I attempted to e-mail you but it was bounced back...looking forward to your piece being posted, and thank you...

Mr. Yeats, apparently I have a lot more to say than thank you...so glad you enjoyed...

'Deer, madam of metaphors...humm...and as for coming up with ideas...why, just look around this place...it's teeming!...{~,^}

Thank you Ethome, kind words indeed!...

Thank you Brian...

Serenity, I love intriguing titles...sometimes if I can just think of a title, the rest of the piece grows...and sometimes it doesn't...LOL...thank you!...

Karilea... I often feel that you're a reflection of me... from being called "Sunshine"... to your positive attitude... to your love of metaphor... to your feelings expressed here...  ... and even to the graphic... It looks like the bridge that joins Cape Cod to mainland Massachusetts... Perhaps there's more metaphorical relevance to my life than I ever imagined... This is great, my friend... I love it..

Sven, with the imaginations that roam these blue halls, it is not hard to come up with unique ideas...thank you...

Kit, many many thanks...

Doc, I adore poetic replies, thank you!...

Virginia...bookmarking address!...thank you...

Nan, as easy as you make it look, I've learned to try hard, think longer, work more at it...and always, always, I imagine you sitting in a large comfortable chair amid books and tablets of papers, scribing away...[and somehow a cat or two lazing around...] You are the mirror that I look in...thank you...
