Snow Angel Sonnet

The wind is here; the snow has come, cold heart,
And I, a shadow in this drifting life;
You were my inner crystal full and part,
Tonight, I walk alone without your light.
The snow has covered all that I once knew,
But cold is not enough to numb this pain;
I walk this lonely path in search of you,
Although your life has gone and left this plane;
The star's at least will be my guides tonight,
Where ever they may lead I know not why?
Away from that same spot you lost your life;
Please take me to a place where I won't cry!
  I 'll lay and make snow angels like before,
  Oh dear, theirs yours a kiss from heavens door.

Oh gosh, your pain is so very real and personal. Dear one, how I wish you could see the romance and beauty in the snow without memories so painful that you must feel. The sparkle and guidance of the stars will light your way. I pray love brings stars back into your heart and eyes for snow angels still wait to feel your touch. Much love to you from me.

Love I leave with you my friend whether it be in your life or of yet the essense of your dreams. http://path2riches.com

I love these sonnets that you write Parker and this one is no different. I always seem to read a healthy sense of your roots and influences in them. When you write this style it seems to me to translate to an audible and tangible sense of you...you know.... an east coast yarn spinner but with poetic beauty included..... this is great writing my friend!!

Okay my friend...I conceed!!!!!!!!!  Everytime I try a sonnet I compare them to yours but they don't measure up at all.  One of these days I am going to say the heck with it and post one anyway.  I guess I can't expect to be as good as you anyway, but rest assured that I am going to keep trying.  Beautiful write my friend and I am counting it as one of my gifts this year.

I heard it mentioned if I ever had the chance to read a sonnet penned by Parker, to make SURE I didn't let it get by me...So glad I listened..This is absolutely beautiful...  ~LL~

I love these lines.  This is a very hauntingly beautiful piece.  Your Sonnet's are always so well done.

Ehm....your were wearing clothes while making snow angels right??

Snowflake twin
see how she spins,
spins a sugary tale
but like love, is frail
she melts upon your tongue
snowflake the arctic one,
the heat is lost on her
the heat is lost on her.
