Hello, Poets of Passions, I'm new here
I posted my first poem with great fear
In the hope that you would see
The me behind my poetry

First in secret, I quietly read
And let the names and words fill my head
I never thought that I would post
For my words were nothing of which to boast

But I saw how others were welcomed with glee
And I thought, "That could be me!
I could be the one welcomed by Nan or deVine"
And so to post, I had made up my mind

Now, a name to put with my words of pen
One that was different, how about Sven?
Or Startime, athena4, or raleighbttrfly?
Maybe I could write the words that would make you cry

I took a deep breath and began to type
This was the first poem I was to write
Hit the "Submit" button when I was done
Would this poem be liked, would it be "the one"?

You read my words, and a warm welcome gave
Gave my words power and made me feel brave
It was then I knew I was no longer alone
It was then, my friends, I knew I'd found home

Sven, your so right,a place to open your heart without fear, a place to let all the words pour like rain from your pen, I loved this poem, I also love passions forum.
Also a place where new poets are born, such as myself.

What a great poem Sven.. I am new here.. and let me tell you that the experience, after only a couple of days, has been nothing short of your description. This seems like a wonderful place to be.
