This is long and I'm sorry but I couldn't say it in less. I hope you can read to the end.

The goblin king, he laid a curse
and sealed it with a charm
"All your fortune's now reversed
your luck is turned to harm"

I took the curse from his mouth
believed I would prevail
took my things and headed south
far from his land's travail

I travelled forth in all the world
the charm hung round my throat
a small reminder of the curse that curled
round me as a skintight coat.

It wrapped me closer, closer still
till all my life was girt
in power to turn love to ill
and all beloved's hurt

I wore the curse as a shroud
trepidation in my soul
scared to say good things out loud
or ask for love to make me whole

I travel, weary on
a vagabond of passion
I can flirt and sing a song
but love is not my fashion

there was a man or two
that I loved near to death
they left me lonely, bereft and blue
and almost without breath

Every-time I tried to love
I was doomed right from the start
I never learned to rise above
for love had chained my heart

Now it's vitally important
I hold a love within
I vow to wed for he does court
and not revile my curse or sin

So back into the goblin's lair
with hesitant steps erased
take off the curse my only prayer
whatever you say I do in its place

The goblin looked at me and chuckled
he laughed out loud and long
"I can't believe how you were suckered
the curse was you all along".

"it didn't come from me
o'er you I had no power
your heart was strong and free
you could have loved at any hour"

at once I looked within
saw the truth of all his words
saw a heart inspired to win
no curse, to cut like swords

I return so swiftly
and pray you're waiting still
oh my love, please wait for me!
so I this curse can fully kill.

My moral to this tale
please listen, If you dare
We make out own indentured hell
by being scared to ever care

...by being bound to never share.

See Sven,
that's what you get for asking for more poetry from me...just desserts.
Be real, and feel

Kethry...battles of sorts can be shared...share with me if you want...
