dusted with dreams she sleeps... softly she sighs her sweet baby sighs her little mouth moves as if speaking in silence her tiny fingers twitch once or twice yet she is peaceful in a place where i cannot accompany her in her own world beyond my reach deep in the night she plays in the sun oblivious to the moon nestled high... then stretching out her arm she finds me there pats my cheek gently and all is good-- she sleeps... -dgvarner 12-13-00 "people who need people are the luckiest people..." barbra s. |
