Color Of My Love
Karen Torbiak
2000

Come take my hand and walk with me
as I show to you, the Color Of My Love
Then you will see within my very soul where few
have leave to come, except Him who lives above

Step into my heart with shattered parts I keep,
safely behind locked doors, to trap the color blue
Remember as you walk with me my trust I give
to you, and now you have power to hurt as others do

Hold me tight and don’t let go if I begin to shake,
for there are many doors with double locks, for safety here
Let’s go there first that it be done, then on to better things,
I try to keep lights burning bright, to chase away my fear

These doors were opened, a little, not far in the past
as I tried to trust some men, who came into my life
As lies they tell and games they play thinking I do not see,
so this time I double locked them to remove the pain and strife

These doors hold trapped within the color of red
that represents the blood of heart and flesh from my past
Secrets hidden long and not remembered as they slept
but one day soon the light will come and they be free a last

So now you know the colors blue and red are not colors
I have chosen to represent the Color Of My Love
For I have chosen a color that shows all of who I am
and combines many shades leaving softness like the dove

Here we are the best part of my heart that I keep always lit
that all may have a resting place where arms are open wide
You see all may enter into me and receive of my love,
for freely it is given with honesty, nothing to hide

Let me embrace you, hold you close to heart
my friend and surround you with sweet dreams
This is the place I sit and weave seeing beauty
in all I see and create magic visions it seems

The Color Of My Love is strongest you will find here
amongst the freedom of my heart to spread out to all I find
It flows with strength and surety to everyone I see
as weaving dreams and fantasy streams freely from my mind

Ah yes, the Color, do you know it yet, my friend
for it combines all of me with mind, heart, body and soul
The Color Of My Love you see is Turquoise most rare
showing love, devotion, caring, joy, softness and passion’s goal

I see you hold my hand still yet, holding tight and sure
as you walked with me the passageways of my heart
Maybe when the time is right our souls will join as one
that I may again unlock my doors and give love a precious start

Love I leave with you my friend whether it be in your life or of yet the essense of your dreams. http://path2riches.com

I love "doors" as a metaphor, this is so moving and you put such a flow into it, it's very tied together, enjoyed the read very, very much.

This is so touching..........

Truly beautiful penning here......... -SEA
