When she gets over shouting words of swear
Many moons from now
Will we still love her grand poetry lines?
We’ll all be reading Poet deVine
If she’s been posting til quarter to three
Who’d lock her po'try?
With kindness you treat me will you still read me
When you're sixty-three
You’ll be moldier too
And if you have DVD
I would stay with you
I could be handy lending a rhyme
When your thoughts have strayed
You can sit and stare by the firelight
Wednesday evening Jeopardy night
Taking your poems and sharing your joy
Who could wish more glee?
With kindness you treat me will you still read me
When you're sixty-three
Everyday we could eat some cottage cheese
In the aisle at Kroger if it’s not too cold
Sampling shrimp we’ll brave
“Grandchildren,” you’d say, “it’s free”
We’re a group that saves
Send me a poem sweet Poet deVine
Stating it’s from you
Indicate precisely that you brighten my day
This time don’t forget what you were gonna say
Gimme your credit, fill out this form
You’re not as old as me?
You’re young at heart and you give us a part
Are you really sixty-three?

Gotta love your mind, our Walt...gotta love it!

now, what do you have for a case of the giggles?

I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound.

Interesting Walt...but now I don't know if Poet Devine is 24 or 64...doesn't matter though her poetry lives on as the Beatles music does...Paul originally wrote the tune for this song when he was sixteen and I believe he and John finished this one off when they were perhaps 20 or 21.  Another 10 years and the remaining Beatles will be 64.  My the years do fly...James

I loved this one.
I like the way your poetry works.
Always a lovely read.
This one made me smile and i always need that

Beginnings are scary, endings are usually sad, but it’s the middle that counts.
