This Wondrous Night
Virginia Salter

“And the word became flesh and dwelt among us.”

Oh, Incarnate One
sent from heaven on high,
Your cries do bless this night
as fingers, toes, erase our woes,
and clarify our sight.

Newness of your flesh
in that meek and lowly creche
innocence and purity
well exemplified in You.

Fully blameless, Holy Child,
oh, creation of sated love,
virtuous beyond man’s knowing
sent here by God above.

Thanks, SEA!  I'm so glad someone finally read it.  Oh, I just put it on this a.m. ;o}, silly me, so impatient when excited.

Hello out there.  This is a Christmas poem so I'm booting it up again so it doesn't get lost before Christmas.

Virginia...this is some Sun delight, indeed...thank you for sharing...

If I whisper, will you listen?...
I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound.
