With these words
feelings unsaid
timidity lay
unbound, unwed

Last sung this tune
this accolade
doff now, this mask
of my charade

Dare I voice the music
so long unsung
dare I hope
the tune’s not wrong

Have faith in my
love’s imagination
Forget my past
love’s hesitation

Seek me thus
in this new year
For I do love you
with hope and fear

reminds me of a Joni Mitchell song...

"it all comes down to you...
constant stranger--
you're a kind person -
you're a cold person too...

...You're a brute,
you're an angel
you can crawl, y'can fly too..."

and so we meet ourselves...hugs.

Good evening Poet deVine,

You write powerful and also lovely words. This writing is very strong indeed with meaning to me. I am very glad that I stopped by for a read.

This is lovely, PDV... I think we've all experienced the angst of wanting things to go forward and yet being terrified that we'll say something to ruin it... The Sinatras sang "and then I go and spoil it all by saying something stupid like I love you." (Yup... I'm old. *G*) I occasionally get blasted for my openness... and that's not fun... however, having someone leave my life forever and spending decades wondering if they ever knew I loved them makes the decision easy for me... I never want that hell again! I guess I'd rather live with rejection than doubt. *S*

Go for it... and good luck!!

Hi Miss deVine,

Wonderful poetry here, hope and fear are good allies for one seeking the truth and you my friend deserve the very best now and always.

Love, Cerenity

It must be frightening to fall in love again after so long. You describe the feelings beautifully, as always. Best of luck, my friend!

To be loved - one must love - with all the risks that that implies - you've expressed this so beautifully
