       “ Life’s Simple Beauty”

              By Ariana

Simple things in life are beautiful,
like the moon, stars, birds, and the bees.

I loved you when our life was simple,
as we sat and reminisced under the trees.
Our finances were low, but our hearts were full,
our dreams were many, and very colorful.

My needs of love were simple from you,
love of honor and one of true blue.
One that would make your heart yearn,
and that would make the desires burn.

I asked for not much, or had tedious demands,
just for you to be yourself, and let me hold your hand.

I asked that you walk beside me, and stay real near,
making sure our future was promising, and clear.

So as I look back at the bumpy road, that is far behind us,
the simple things in life, are still beautiful, and colorful.
And our love has lasted through the storms of strife and triumphs.
I loved you then, and I know that I love you more now,
I will love you forever, and walk with you tomorrow.

Ariana~
Welcome to the hearth of this home of friendship.
You've tossed a new log on the fire and it burns brightly.
Enjoyed reading your piece.

Ariana,
How you beautifully captured in words the feelings I feel of "If only we could go back in time".  There is no magic time machine, but your poetry can certainly take me there.  Just beautiful!!

I have written about my life as well.  I am glad that enjoyed it and thank you for the welcome.  Simpler times in life would be great - but they didn't have dishwashers then!

James

I am happy that you enjoyed my writing, and thank you for stopping by.

Hello Marge:

Thank you for the encouragement and nice words topped off with a warm welcome.  I am glad that you enjoyed it.

Thank you for coming with me on a ride back in time.  I love a hassle-free environment and since I cannot get it in today's living, I try to write about what was or could have been.

Charisma

Life's simple things are beautiful and there are quite a few of us that do not take the time to "smell the roses".  Thanks for your kind words.

Welcome to Passions and thank you for the lovely read.  This is what "true love" is all about.  Not letting the material things in life and the bumps that we all go through spoil the beauty of hearts.  Wonderful read.
