you are the moonbeams within the shadows
sometimes a shadow stalking the light
in the shadows of my mind
you are the star in the darkest night

you are the sunshine that reflects
lavender in midsummer rain
you are the dew upon canvas of dawn
painted upon my windowpane

why should i surrender to anyone else but you?
you are the captain of my true blue seas
even though you have a woman crew

like a chef.. many delicacies
i do not care about cheap tarts
you always come back to me
a butterfly fluttering in your heart

i wish you could hear strings of my heart sigh
each time our words pluck good bye
it really does not matter why?..I love you
