Wee elf was smitten,
By love bug bitten,
In love did fall,
With real cute doll,
A perfect match,
A cabbage patch,
Her name was Sue,
Her eyes were blue,
Red was her hair,
White skin so fair,
Twelve inches high,
Wee elf would sigh,
I love you Sue,
Red, white and blue.
Then Christmas Eve,
Wee elf did grieve,
A wee boo hoo,
For blue eyed Sue,
Was called away,
To Santa's sleigh,
To join the toys,
For girls and boys,
Sue climbed inside,
As wee elf cried,
Don't leave me Sue,
What will I do?
It's idiotic,
Unpatriotic,
To take my Sue,
Wee elf did stew.
Into night sky,
Did Santa fly,
With smallest elf,
Beside himself,
For Sue was gone,
By Christmas dawn,
Wee elf so blue,
He missed his Sue,
But back to work,
For elves can't shirk,
Into toy shop,
Elf would not stop,
Through Christmas Day,
No time to play.
Then Mrs. Claus,
said, wee elf pause,
Go to the tree,
My friend so wee,
You plumb forgot,
What Santa brought,
Your Christmas gift,
Nick will be miffed,
If you don't open,
He was a hope'n
That you'd be glad,
And lose your sad,
So to the tree,
Went elf so wee,
Unwrapped his present,
T'was heaven sent,
A great surprise,
Blue were her eyes,
Red was her hair,
White skin so fair,
Elf pulled her string,
and heard her sing,
My name is Sue,
And I love you.

It wouldn't be Christmas without more Wee Elf

Interloper...I truly appreciate the response. Thank you for reading and enjoying.
VAS... wee elf is certainly meant for the children. (in all of us)  I would be honored if you wanted to read it to the schoolkids...
(p.s. not trying to be too self-promoting, but the previously written wee elfs are in Holiday Forum.)
Paula... thank you ever so much for the gracious reply.  I kinda like wee elf myself...*smile*
inot2B...appreciate the wonderful reply. Thanks so much.  Merry Christmas!
