There in the doorway hangs a little green sprig Tied up with a pretty red bow And all who pause beneath this sprig Are gifted with the softest kiss From the lips of the one they hold near I sigh and turn away alone and so lonely With no lover to steal a kiss away The evening passes in painful thoughts And when I could gracefully leave I got my coat and said goodbye And as I walked through the doorway I felt a hand on me shoulder And hear a voice soft and low Look you are standing under the mistletoe I look up into smiling eyes a question in my own I claim my kiss, you cant deny me You are under the mistletoe Strong arms pull me close sweet lips caress my own Now that little green sprig is tucked away A symbol of love begun anew With a kiss under the mistletoe |
