Listening to every heart

meadowlark sang sweet
gold crested breast raised in song
deer interloping by

shy doe rushed on by
song of meadowlark sweeter
nature at its best

to the hills deer ran
meadowlarks taking high flight
and black came the night

How can I not applaud poetry about that graceful, powerful yet gentle wonderous symbol of virility and strength....the deer???

You have done the species honor, sunshine

Interloper, no, thank YOU for the inspiration...

Little K...thank you SO much...

'Deer...how could I not...saw a prime example of a proud buck just the other day...only he ran the other way...but not before he looked me in the eye...

Kaile...I think you hit the nail on the head...I still cannot watch it without shedding a tear...thank you...

Kari,
Lovely images you paint here, you have capatured the graceful motion of the agile deer.

Such graceful movements
Pure poetry in motion,
Is this deer ballet?

Nice work Sunshine!

I love poems about proud bucks!!!

What is that you express in your eyes? It seems to me more than all the words I have read in my life.
