Time To Love

Touching heaven in your loving care
Delight is having you with time to spare
I'm content to let the world fade away
This brief respite with you is a holiday
I'll not listen to that voice in my head
You've got work to do I think it just said
Instead I'll enjoy this idyll just for now
With time and my love, I can only say WOW

Feasting on loves fruit loving every bite
Hunger is satisfied with you in my sight
I'm happy to remain lying here like this
Fire leaps to life when my lips you kiss
Just hold me close and don't let me go
Here in your arms I can feel our love flow
If I can stay here for an hour maybe two
Time stands still while I'm here with you

We neither of us have the time to play
But we can steal this idyllic moment away
Let's pretend we don't have things to do
Let's make time for loving just me and you
If we give each other this one small gift
It will give our hearts, our souls a lift
Love is ours and with time on our side
So together here from the world we hide

Take back the hope you gave,- I claim
Only a memory of the same

wonderful poem. hang on to those moments, they are more important than anything else.

Even in the darkest night, someone will be there holding a candle for you.

Evening Marsha,

Read this writing of yours, and found so many true words within. Very nicely done Marsha.

Sweetness comes in many forms, but always, always in the arms of Marsha...hold him tight, my dear...

Kari, thank you my Christmas fairy, you are you know, we have a little tree in the office. (It's in a pot and it's still growing) anyway we get to decorate it. We have some tiny glass baubles some very tired looking tinsle and a fairy. But she is very special, I brought her in from home, and I've had her years. White with little feathers for wings and the cutest little wand. (I think one of my aunts gave her to me) And I've christened her Kari.
Thank you love,
Take care

I believe that everyone should take the time to love as it brings more happiness than anything I can think of.  There are so many ways to share love with someone and it doesn't have to be in the arms of one another.  Simple gestures show love as well and your poems and replies to all of us show the love in YOUR heart my friend and it doesn't go unnoticed either.  Hugs to you my friend.

A life with love will have some thorns, but a life without love will have no roses.

Mark my friend, Thank you so much for the compliment, but it is no hardship to show my love for the people who live in this wonderful world of ours. In fact the worst thing that could possibly happen to me would be to deny me access to you all. And just like the little drummer boy had nothing else to give but the beat of his drum. I have nothing else to give but my heart. And you are right everyone ought to make time for love, because she makes time for us.
And the fact that you make time to spread your love around too even though you are busy doesn't go unnoticed either. We all love you cowboy, and enjoy your company enormously

Circe sweetie, thank you kindly, and that goes for you too, I know you are busy, but you still take the time to spread your words and smile around these pages of ours. And I thank you, for too many reasons to mention but because you are a real sweetheart   and you are I consider one of my sweetest friends. God bless you love.

Startime, thank you love, you are an ever faithful reader, and I do appreciate it I truly do. And I'm pleased that you enjoy my little rhymes.

Take care
